As part of our community services for families and children in the area, the council operates 3 Child Care Services in the Northern midlands, servicing Cressy, Perth and Avoca. About the role
As part of our transition to our new Perth Early Learning Centre, and the new places that we will be offering as part of this service, we require a second ECT to join our team.
Reporting to the Childcare Director, the successful applicants will be truly passionate about early childhood teaching which will be reflected in the support and care provided for children under the centre’s responsibility. The role will see you working with a passionate and dedicated team committed to delivering high quality programs and creating a positive environment to support children to thrive and grow.
You will be actively involved in the design and implementation of comprehensive and engaging programs for ages 0-5, as well as After School and Vacation Care programs for children up to 12. You will also be a passionate and supportive coach and mentor for our team of educators. Your strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and NQF will allow you to review and implement best practice programs that are not only compliant with our policies and legislation, but that deliver high quality learning outcomes for the children.
About you
You will be passionate about your work and take pride in delivering high quality learning outcomes. You will be a great communicator with both adults and children, and you will be proactive in your approach to care and support. You will also have a sound understanding of the health and safety risks involved with working with children and be able to demonstrate sensitivity, patience, and kindness.
You must:
• Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
• Educator experience, working with children aged 0-5
• First aid certificate or willingness to undertake the training
• Ability to obtain a Working with Children's Check
• Hold a current Tasmanian Drivers Licence

Terms and conditions of employment, including salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant and in accordance with the Northern Midlands Council Enterprise Agreement.
